Training programmes conducted at LSTEP are aimed at equipping job seekers in finance and accountancy fields to acquire practical knowledge and skills demanded by corporate world. We, at LSTEP, train the participants in practical skills through case studies and scenarios adapted from real world.

Any job seeker with qualifications in finance and accountancy, like B Com or BBA Graduates, M Com or MBA Finance degree holders, students who are partially or fully qualified in professional certifications in finance and accountancy like CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA (India), CMA (USA) or any equivalently qualified person who wishes to upskill oneself can join the programme. Our course coordinators will help you to select the right programme for you.

Our regular programmes are,
a. L1 – Certified Associate Programme
b. L2 – Certified Executive Programme
Additionally, we may design and deliver other on demand programmes based on corporate feedback.

LSTEP programmes helps participants to acquire skills that are on demand in the job market. Moreover, LSTEP connects participants with recruiters and increases their chance for placement in desirable jobs.

a. L1 is held for 4 weeks, 6 days a week, 9 am to 5 pm each day.
b. L2 is held for 6 weeks, 6 days a week, 9 am to 5 pm each day.
Regular attendance on all days is mandatory.

No. Both L1 and L2 are conducted as practical classroom workshops and participants are expected to work together on their assignments. Through these classroom sessions, participants gain some of the well appreciated soft skills including teamwork, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Yes, participants will get certificates upon successful course completion.

The course and curriculum are designed by professionals with years of leadership experience in Big4 accounting firms. Each topic in the programme is trained by eminent professionals with years of experience in respective fields.

L1 and L2 programmes train participants on accounting, auditing, project planning, costing, financial statement analysis, Excel skills, data visualisation skills, corporate communication and other soft and technical skills necessary in accounting and finance jobs.

Training delivery is designed as practical workshops where participants learn by working on projects and case studies. Classroom lecture is used rarely, while research and analysis by participants are promoted abundantly. Collaborative learning through team work is also encouraged.

LSTEP does not provide accommodation to the participants. However, our course coordinators will help participants to connect with nearby hostels to find reasonable accommodation. LSTEP or its employees will not assume any responsibility in this regard.

In addition to the academic qualifications mentioned above, it is desirable to refresh the basic concepts in accountancy and finance before attending the programme. Participants must bring laptops with Microsoft office installed (preferably Office 2019).

During the programmes, all candidates will get opportunity to attend multiple mock interviews. After successful course completion and assessment by trainers LSTEP will help all L1 participants to attend at least one and L2 participants to attend at least two corporate job interviews matching with their qualification, knowledge and skills. Participants may get opportunities to attend more interviews, depending on the demand in job market. As LSTEP participants possess desirable job skills, they are better positioned to get selected in any interview. However, LSTEP cannot guarantee selection of a candidate in job interviews. Additionally, LSTEP will keep the data of its alumni, and will continue to help interested members to find better opportunities during later stages of their career.

Employers who recruit from LSTEP benefit by spending considerably less amount of money and time on prospecting, selecting and recruiting their new hires. They get candidates with most of the desired job skills, and therefore can fill their vacancies faster. The new hires are equipped to assume responsibilities quickly, and business can save training time and resources. This also reduces the chances of mistakes and frictions at work place and lowers overall employee churn and dissatisfaction.

Most of the participants from our previous batches (who were seeking jobs) are placed in reputed companies in India and abroad.
